Chandrayaan2's orbiter DFSAR which is designed by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), to produce greater details about the morphology and ejecta materials of impact craters on the lunar surface has released the captured pictures of the 'impact craters' on the south polar region of the moon. Impact craters of various sizes are formed due to the smashing of meteorites into the moon's surface.
