Broadcom signs deal to supply wireless components to Apple

Broadcom has signed a 2-year deal with Apple to supply wireless components in its products. It’s an extended agreement in addition to existing ones for radio frequency components to the iPhone maker. The total deal is expected to generate as much as $15 billion in revenue for Broadcom. Shares of the chipmaker have climbed 2% in extended trading. Broadcom had put its radio frequency chip unit up for sale last year.
