Scientists at the University of Bath have developed an artificial neuron that can fit on the tip of a finger and the technology may well be used to help patients suffering paralysis and chronic diseases and even Alzheimer's. The bionic neurons can mimic the cells in our nervous system to receive electrical signals from healthy nerve cells and in return pass them on to neurons in other muscles and organs in the body.
