In a surprise move amid the ongoing dispute between the Australian government and Facebook, the social media platform blocked all media content in the country, leading to an apparent media blackout. The move didn't go down well with the government. "Facebook was wrong, Facebook's actions were unnecessary, they were heavy-handed, and they will damage its reputation here in Australia," said Treasurer Josh Frydenberg.
