Apple has admitted that it scans the user images in order to hunt evidence of child abuse. Apple’s chief privacy officer Jane Horvath said that the company is now utilizing some technologies to help screen for child sexual abuse material. Other tech giants including FB, Twitter and Google also use image scanning tool PhotoDNA. It is unclear when Apple started this image scanning while it also triggers data privacy issues.
