Apple hired ARM Holding Inc.'s key chip designer

Apple has hired a key chip designer Mike Filippo from ARM Holding Inc. to expand its own chip development to more powerful devices including the Mac and a new headset. Filippo was a lead chip design engineer at ARM, and prior to that he also worked as a key chip designer for advanced microdevices and also for Intel Corp. ARM has confirmed Filippo's departure. Apple is yet to make any comment on it.
