Apple bowed down to Russia over Crimea region, Ukraine upset

Apple maps and weather apps are showing Crimea as a Russian region and Ukraine did not take it in the right spirit. Apple said that maps are not neutral, irrespective of the purpose they are being used. This is not the first time digital maps have been augmented to placate governments. Google maps also use same strategy for Arunachal and Domchek in India and also in the region of Costa Rica, which created conflicts.
