An Internet revolt just saved Microsoft Paint

Shortly after reports that Microsoft’s basic graphics program, Paint, was to be phased out, an expression of support for the program on social media has prompted Microsoft to confirm that it will continue to be offered free of charge. Paint 3D – the new app for creativity, also available for free with the Windows 10 Creators Update, will continue to get new feature updates. Paint 3D shares few similarities with Paint.
