Amazon, Facebook, Google face heat over Indian Govt’s data sharing rule

In another follow up to the country’s data regulations, the US-India Business Council (USIBC), part of the US Chamber of Commerce, has raised its concerns around the sharing of proprietary data by US technology giants. A draft letter, written by USIBC, has called imposed data sharing “anathema” to promote competition. It further said that this undermines investments made by companies to process and collect such information.
