Cryptojacking is a scam that allows attackers to implant malware or miners on their victims' devices. These miners mine Bitcoin in the background using your device's resources. They were popular in the 2017-18 season, but have been largely insignificant in the last two years. Cryptojacking instances, on the other hand, have increased in the first quarter of 2021, according to research by security firm Kaspersky.
