Recent research by MIT team reveals that aeroplane emissions cause twice as much damage to air quality than the climate. The lead researcher says aviation emissions are an increasingly significant contributor to climate change, causing 5% of global climate forcing. It's found that 3 components are clearly responsible for 97% damage to climate & air quality-nitric oxide, CO2 & contrails from an aircraft.
