The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC)is suing tech giants Samsung for misleading consumers by telling them that their Galaxy phones sold in Australia were water resistant while knowing that they were not. Samsung released many advertisements with people using the phones underwater or near beaches and poolside and is resistant up to 30 minutes. The ACCC alleges that Samsung did not test its phones to back the ads.
