Minister of Information and Broadcasting, Anurag Thakur has assured that strong a action will be taken against those indulging in peddling ‘fake news.’ Replying to a question in the Parliament, the Union Minister said that “the government has statutory and institutional mechanisms in place to combat the spread of fake news.”
