According to data, Facebook literally owned this decade. The apps holding the top 4 slots in App Annie's list are Facebook, Messenger, Whatsapp and Instagram, all of them owned by FB. The Facebook app was the most downloaded between 2010 and 2019. The messenger was created by Facebook, the rest two were bought. FB stayed dominant in 2019 with the most popular app being Messenger followed by FB & Whatsapp.
