Google's diversity and ethics practices once again came under scanner as two engineers resigned over the dismissal of AI researcher Timnit Gebru. The two Google employees who quit were an engineering director and a software developer. David Baker, a director focused on user safety, left Google last month. Gebru's exit "extinguished my desire to continue as a Googler," aid Baker. Software engineer Vinesh Kannan also quit the firm.
