16 child petitioners from 12 countries protest against climate crisis

An official complaint was lodged with the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child (OHCHR) by 16 child petitioners, including Sweden's Greta Thunberg and the American Alexandria Villase, from 12 countries, against the absence of government action on the climate crisis. The independent body was encouraged to order the Member States to take measures to safeguard kids from the catastrophic effects of climate change.
