Crossing the language barrier: Govt to seed fund 100 translation services and startups

There are 19,000 languages used in India and it causes trouble for many. Indian govt is planning to overcome this barrier and for that, they are going to fund startups to build AI-driven technology to build on solutions to help in research and teach in multiple languages. There will also be translating videos of technical education lectures in multiple languages. The program will initially focus on text-to-text translation.
