Sri Lankan cricketer Danushka Gunathilaka announces retirement from Test cricket

Danushka Gunathilaka, who is currently on an international ban from the June of last year, has announced his retirement from the Test format. The opening batter last played a Test for the nation in 2018 and his continuous failures kept him out of the place in the longer format. Having recently heard a shocking retirement of another Sri Lankan cricketer Bhanuka Rajapaksa, Gunathilaka’s retirement comes as another blow for the Island nation.
