South Africa ended a stubborn England resistance to win the first Test of their World Test Championship series by 107 runs. England required 376 runs to win but despite throwing some challenge with committed batting from Ben Stokes and Joe Root were all out for 268 on the 4th day. Rabada finished with 4 for 103 and fast bowler Anrich Nortje claimed 3 for 56 as South Africa produced a disciplined bowling performance.
