Sania makes winning return to WTA circuit

Sania Mirza who last played at China Open in October 2017 made a winning return to the WTA arena entering the women’s doubles quarterfinals of Hobart International Tournament. Sania and her Ukrainian partner Nadia Kichenok beat Oksana Kalashnikova of Georgia and Japan’s Miyu Kato by 2-6 7-6 (3) 10-3 in a 1 hour and 41 minute-encounter. The Indo-Ukrainian pair will next face Americans Vania King and Christina McHale.
