Police arrest ex-Ranji player in KPL betting scam

Bengaluru Police have arrested Sudhendra Shinde, a former Ranji player and Karnataka State Cricket Association management committee member, for aiding Karnataka Premier League betting scam. In the 2019 edition of KPL, Shinde coached the Belgavi Panthers franchise, owned by Ali, who was also arrested earlier but now on bail. KPL has grabbed headlines for betting, honey trapping and spot-fixing scams continuously.
