Odisha to host men's hockey World Cup in 2023

Odisha will be hosting the men's hockey World Cup yet again in 2023 winter, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has confirmed. Bhubaneswar and Rourkela will be the venues for the World Cup. Earlier in 2018, the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar had staged the men's hockey World Cup as Odisha continues to be the hockey hub in India. Three countries were in contention to host the World Cup - Malaysia, Belgium and India.
