England, Scotland and Northern Ireland have banned heading in training for primary school kids up to with immediate effect. The three football associations issued the statement after a study showed former footballers are 3.5 times more likely to die from neurodegenerative disease. The changes will see a graduated approach to heading in training in under-12s to under-16s football but headings are allowed in matches.
