Marijuana will now be taken off from Major League Baseball's banned substances list. As per the new policy, from next year players found with samples of natural cannabinoids will be treated just like alcohol-related issues. The samples will be tested for opioids, fentanyl, cocaine and synthetic THC. If tested positive for these substances, players will be referred to treatment before possible disciplinary action.
