Lalchand Rajput joins race for India head coach's job

Lalchand Rajput who has coached the Indian team previously has formally sent his application to BCCI urging them to consider him for both head coach and batting coach roles. At present Rajput is a part of Zimbabwe cricketing setup. Before that, he was the head coach of Afghanistan and helped the country to achieve Test status in 2017. His previous stint with Team India was in 2007-08 when India won the T20 World Cup.
