Archer has always been funnily referenced to as a prophet following his tweets from years ago, dug up by fans. Following his purchase by Mumbai, a few tweets by Archer in 2014 resurfaced wherein he tweeted “Mumbai or RR” in 2013, probably predicting the bidding battle. Another tweet surfaced which said “Mumbai deserve it” and to this his new franchise Mumbai replied in a cheeky manner, saying “Yes we know”.
