Italian architect of Barcelona’s Olympic stadium dies of coronavirus

Vittorio Gregotti, Italian architect who designed the 1992 Barcelona summer Olympics stadium, breathed his last at 92 suffering from coronavirus. As per Italian media reports, Gregotti was rushed to a hospital in Milan after contracting COVID-19, and died of pneumonia later. His wife Mariana Mazza is also reportedly hospitalized at the moment. Gregotti had also designed the famous Arcimboldi Opera Theatre in Milan.
