Indian Football’s icon and Olympian PK Banerjee breathed his last in a Kolkata hospital after fighting a severe respiratory problem due to pneumonia for weeks. He was 83. Banerjee was rushed to a city hospital on February 6 after he complained about a serious chest infection. His health condition was fluctuating for days. The iconic figure was also suffering from Parkinson’s disease, dementia, and heart problems.
