ICC Elite Panel of Umpires to scrap India’s S Ravi

Sundaram Ravi, only Indian in ICC Elite Panel of Umpires, will be removed after the World Cup, starting on May 30. The decision was finalized at ICC Umpires Committee meeting on April 24 even though he was included in the 16 umpires’ list for the World Cup. Ravi got promoted to the Elite panel in June 2015 which ended India’s 11-year wait for an umpire in the top panel following S Venkatraghavan’s retirement in 2004.
