FIFA plans to move Club World Cup to accommodate Euro in 2021

FIFA has proposed delaying next year’s revamped Club World Cup in China after UEFA decided to postpone the 2020 Euro Cup until 2021 due to the coronavirus pandemic. Meanwhile, Copa America has also been postponed by a year. Pushing these tournaments by a year means they will be on a collision course with FIFA as had planned to stage the inaugural edition of the revamped Club World Cup in June and July next year.
