FBI has now joined the investigation of the helicopter crash that killed Kobe Bryant, his daughter Gianna and 7 others on board. The focus is on weather conditions & potential mechanical issues. Despite fog and poor visibility, aviation officials have told a twin-engine failure in the S-76B is highly unlikely. Bryant’s helicopter was built in 1991 and there wasn’t any incident report involving the chopper previously.
