On Saturday a spectator leaning into the line of incoming riders flashed a big cardboard placard. On Wednesday, the lady was apprehended by gendarmes in the Finistère area. She was seen staring in the opposite direction, probably towards a camera, rather than at the approaching peloton, according to footage. According to the Reuters news agency, the woman surrendered to the authorities and was detained.
