Canada withdraws athletes from Tokyo Games

2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games suffered a big blow as Canada became the first major country to withdraw from the event after consulting athletes, sports groups, and the government. It comes shortly after Japan Prime Minister, Shinzo Abe, admitted the games may get postponed. Meanwhile, the Australian team already informed its athletes to prepare for a 2021 games. The Tokyo event is scheduled to begin on 24 July.
