Boxing officials from Rio 2016 banned from 2020 Olympics

All the 36 referees and judges from the Rio 2016 boxing event have been barred from officiating at Tokyo 2020 by an IOC task force. Many judges and referees were ousted from Rio after questionable decisions during the boxing event. At Tokyo, referees and judges will be selected from a pool of International Boxing Association certified officials, who have gone through a review process to ensure all the criteria.
