Barcelona and Real Madrid were at their best on Wednesday in a high-octane goalless Clasico marred by violent clashes between Catalan independence protestors and police outside Camp Nou. After being postponed in October, there were fears of violent protests during Spain’s most popular fixture. While the match was shortly interrupted as yellow beach balls were thrown onto the pitch, outside the chaos was extreme.
