Darren Stevens broke the record of Walter Keeton to become the oldest player to score a double century in a first-class cricket match. Batting for Kent, Stevens came out to bat against Yorkshire at 39/5. Stevens then batted dominantly with skipper Billings and scored 237 off 224 balls. He hit 28 fours and nine sixes in his innings. He surpassed his previous best score of 208, which he scored against Glamorgan 14 years ago.
