Former South Africa cricketer AB de Villiers recently underwent eye surgery and it has ended his hopes of returning to top level cricket. He announced his retirement from international cricket in May 2018 and despite a lot of speculations around his return, the man has never returned to play for South Africa. De Villiers continued to play for the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL.
