2019 WC final overthrow to be reviewed in September

The throw that deflected off Ben Stokes’ bat to the boundary during the 2019 WC final will now be reviewed in September, Marylebone Cricket Club has announced. The overthrow rules drew MCC’s attention following New Zealand’s bad luck for the last-over overthrow which went for four and helped England take the match into Super Over and eventually win the World Cup via boundary count leading to a series of controversy.
