During the announcement of the 2019-20 budget, Union minister Nirmala Sitharaman mentioned about Lord Basaveshwara multiple times and mentioned phrases like “Kayakave Kailasa” and “Dasoha.” He was a 12th-century philosopher and “Kayakave Kailasa” means work is worship, and “Dasoha” means giving back to the society. Sitharaman wanted to convey that the govt would work on welfare for the society by giving them back what they need.
