WhatsApp confirms the use of Israeli spyware to snoop on Indian activists

WhatsApp has recently revealed that the journalists and activists of India had been targeted by the surveillance by the Israeli spyware Pegasus. A Whatsapp spokesperson said that even though the identities and the exact number of activists and journalists cannot be revealed, the number is significant. However, Whatsapp was aware of the surveillance but the disclosure came after a lawsuit was filed on Tuesday in a US court.
