Former FM P Chidambaram and his son Karti Chidambaram are being investigated based on charges filed by CBI in the INX media case. CBI accused Chidambaram of granting clearance as a given favor, while there were several irregularities in the Foreign Investment Promotion Board. CBI accused INX media to deliberately violating the conditions by issuing shares to foreign investors at a premium of more than Rs800 per share.
