Google's threat to halt its search operations in Australia over a proposed law forcing the firm to pay local publishers for news, didn't go down well with PM Scott Morrison. "We don't respond to threats. Australia makes our rules for things you can do in Australia. That's done in our parliament. It's done by our government. And that's how things work here in Australia," the PM said in response to Google's statement.
