11 Iranian naval vessels attempted “dangerous and harassing” maneuvers close to US ships in the Persian Gulf near Kuwait on Wednesday. In one case they even came within 10 yards of a Coast Guard cutter despite multiple warnings issued from the US side, American officials have alleged. US Navy in a statement said these kinds of “dangerous and provocative actions” increase the risk of miscalculation and collision.
