UP CM says PM Modi has called for strictest action against Hathras rape accused

Hours after the controversial cremation of Hathras rape victim by the Uttar Pradesh police, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called for the "strictest action against the accused" in the gangrape and barbaric torture of the 20-year-old victim. The CM has asked for the trial to be conducted in a fast-track court. A three-member panel has also been set up by the CM for a detailed investigation.
