Union Minister G Kishan Reddy: Terror incidents down by 70% in hinterland & by 86% in J&K

Union minister G Kishan Reddy said that terror incidents have reduced by 70% from 71 to 21 in remote areas & by 86% from 23,290 to 3,187 in J&K. The minister added that no of terrorist incidents has substantially reduced between April 1, 2009 & June 30, 2019. He said as compared to 2018, the 1st half of 2019 has seen a decrease of 28% in terrorists initiated incidents & a rise in security actions against terrorist in J&K.
