A Ukrainian civilian was killed in frontline shelling, news agency AFP reported citing officials on Monday evening. Local Ukrainian officials said a civilian was killed in an attack on government-held Novoluganske, 35 kilometres north of the eastern rebel stronghold Donetsk, AFP reported. Meanwhile, Russian President convened top officials Monday to consider recognising the independence of Russia-backed separatist regions in eastern Ukraine.
