US administration’s former point-person for South Asia, Alice Wells took to Twitter to say that India should invest more in the Quadrilateral alliance or Quad that groups together Australia, India, Japan and US. "The appearance of privileging BRIC/RIC meetings over engagement with like-minded partners is discordant," she wrote while responding to a tweet that said India cannot afford to be "pushover" in border standoff with China.
