In a move that is certain to cause further disruption to the Afghanistan economy that is already on the brink of collapse, the Taliban have announced a complete ban on the use of foreign currency in the country. The new Taliban government has also warned of action for violating the order, according to a report by Al-Jazeera. "Anyone violating this order will face legal action," the statement read.
