Anti-government protestors are still squatting in the Lankan presidential palace and refusing to budge. They have said they will continue to occupy the presidential and prime ministerial residences until both leaders officially resign. President Gotabaya Rajapaksa was quoted by the Speaker as saying that he would step down on 13 July. But the president has not been seen or made a public statement himself.
