Singaporean blogger ordered to pay $100,000 in damages for facebook article on Prime Minister

Singapore blogger Leong Sze Hian has been asked to pay $100,000 in damages for defaming Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong. Sze Hian had linked PM Lee Hsien's name to the 1MDB money-laundering scandal in an article on Facebook. The Prime Minister accused Leong Sze Hian of spreading false claims about him after the latter published the Facebook article. High Court Judge Aedit Abdullah ordered the blogger to pay the damages.
